Getting to know your elopement photographer is so important, just like any other vendors you choose to join you on your elopement day.
It means that you can choose someone who is reliable, as well as someone who you genuinely get along with, share the same interests and vision with, for the best experience and outcome! So, it is important that you choose wisely while elopement planning.
If you’re in the process of looking for your photographer, before you book a call with me, here I will tell you what to expect from me as your elopement photographer!
I am an extremely laid-back person. I cut all the crap and I show up as the real me. I’m not bubbly, in fact, I am quiet and a calming presence for all of my clients. I feel this really benefits my clients when it comes to their elopement because the last thing you want is to feel more stress and anxiety on such a big day and whilst planning, right?
All I want is for you to feel at peace and know that I am here to help you all the way!
I am a sucker for all types of unique elopements, so watching your personal story unfold is something I will never get bored of. Having an eye for detail benefits me immensely as your elopement photographer because it means I won’t miss a thing.
All of the details, the important moments, the emotions, and the fun parts will be captured for you to look back on and live all over again!
Following on from the previous point, I will capture every moment and emotion that happens during your day. As an elopement photographer, I know how important this day is for you– you’ve decided to put focus into what you want, to make the day epic.
So, it is then my role to capture everything, so you can truly relive your day and show it to family and friends!
For instance, the thrill and happiness you feel as you finally make it to the peak of the mountain – this is an emotion worth capturing – it is a significant part of your day.
Although I am a calming presence, this does not stop me from being your biggest cheerleader during your elopement day. Trust me, this day is super exciting for me too! The adventures and the most incredible couples I get to meet are unexplainable.
Whilst we capture the most stunning portraits with your elopement backdrop I will help you feel confident, comfortable and at ease to capture the best photos of you both – a good elopement photographer will not only capture it, but encourage you and cheer you on, and that’s me!
You have chosen to elope because it is much more intimate than a traditional wedding, right? So, having an elopement photographer presence may seem a bit daunting because you don’t have your privacy.
You don’t need to worry, as I mentioned I am laid back, so most of the time I will be hiding in the background just concentrating on capturing the best shots– I will keep my distance and I won’t be intruding on your personal conversations.
Plus, if you ever want to be alone, you just have to ask!
With all of this in mind, you need your photographer to be a friend to you. There is nothing more awkward than someone being there who you do not feel comfortable around, or is not on the same vibe level as you.
Getting to know the photographer before you book them is important to ensure you are compatible.
It is essential for me as an elopement photographer to be a helpful guide for my couples. I pride myself on being knowledgeable about elopement planning and certain locations so I can be the best help possible.

Also, check out my guide to eloping in Joshua Tree and Palm Springs.
I can suggest the best photo spots, the best hikes and anything else you may need advice on when it comes to elopement planning, right from the start.
I offer documentary photography for your wedding. This is a great approach to really documenting how your elopement unfolds.
Documentary photography rarely involves posed portraits. Instead, it is a way to depict real-life scenarios in a creative manner– so, as an elopement photographer this indicates the approach I give when it comes to capturing your day.
You will be able to look back on it for how it really was– the laughs, the smiles, the adventure and the excitement.
Now you know what to expect from me as your elopement photographer, you are one step further to knowing whether you want to book a call with me!
As I said, it is essential that you get to know your wedding vendors before booking them, especially when it comes to your photographer as they will be with you throughout the whole day.
I’d love to chat with you and join you on your elopement!
