I’ve never shot a Kimmswick engagement session before. It’s definitely a low-key, sleeper town during the week. I was super pumped to shoot there because I thought I was going to be able to stop into The Blue Owl and get a pie – The Blue Owl is famous for their pies, and I’ve never had one before!

Word of warning, their hours are weird. They close at like, 3 pm. So … I didn’t get that pie.

Danielle and Joe live not too far from Kimmswick and thought the old Anheuser Estate in Kimmswick would make a lovely backdrop for their engagement photos. It totally did, and it was worth not getting pie. And nearly sweating to death. (This summer has been brutal!)

Danielle and Joe are … seriously … two of the kindest people ever, which is not surprising when you learn that both are RNs who met in nursing school.

I had so much fun with them during their engagement session, but it was nothing compared to how much fun we had at their wedding (blog post coming soon)!
