Katelyn + Matt’s Old Hickory Golf Club wedding was a day full of candid moments of joy and emotion. Katelyn did a reveal with her bridesmaids where she got to turn around and see them dressed for the first time. Her grandfather is a very special person to her, so doing a first look with him was an important part of the morning.
Katelyn’s gift to Matt was a pair of cufflinks with his grandparents’ photos on them. Matt was very close to his grandparents on his mother’s side, and they have both passed away. Matt (and his sisters) got quite emotional at the gift!
All throughout the day, Matt and Katelyn made a point to take intentional time with their loved ones. The close friendships with their wedding party are evident in the photos. Katelyn’s toast from her mother, and her dance with her mom had everyone in tears. They ended the night with quite the dance party!

How would you describe your wedding experience?
It was more than we could ever have imagined! Very smooth. Filled with love and laughter with our family and friends.
What things were most important to you when wedding planning? What were your wishes for your wedding day?
Music! We wanted everyone in the dance floor celebrating with us at Old Hickory Golf Club.
What advice would you give to other couples for their wedding day?
Don’t sweat the little things. At the end of the day you and your partner are getting married. As long as you are both down at that aisle, that’s all you need. Everything else is just extra. Enjoy your day and soak up every single minute!
Was there anything that surprised you on the wedding day?
How emotional I got when I saw Matt at the end of the aisle. I don’t think I was emotional prepared to see my future waiting for me.
What was your first thought when you woke up the morning of the wedding?
IT’S WEDDING DAY WOOP WOOP!
Tell me about how you each felt when you saw each other for the first time.
Nothing but tears of happiness I was never nervous, but anxious. We were ready. We have been waiting for 7 years to starts our lives. No nerves. Just happiness.
What was your first dance song and how did you choose it?
Forever and ever amen. We heard this song on the radio multiple times in one day and instantly knew this was our song. Everyone we heard this song we just smile and sing it to each other.

So much love and support.
What was your favorite part of the day?
Dancing our night away at Old Hickory Golf Club and finally being introduced as Mr. & Mrs. Moore!
What were you most anxious/nervous/fearful about regarding your wedding day and what was the outcome?
We were both anxious to get married and that’s exactly what we did. We didn’t worry about the little things because overall the day was about marriage and becoming one. There were times we were nervous about the things we couldn’t control but once we were at the church it just went away.
When planning your wedding, what photos were most important to you and why?
The most important pictures to us are the ones where we are just smiling and having fun. When we are just being us. Seeing the happiness with each other and the love we share is what we want to be able to show our loved ones and future family one day.
