I love the light in the morning. It always feels so much different to me than afternoon or evening light. I especially love overcast mornings and Lafayette Park is the perfect spot for an overcast morning engagement session.

Molly and Arunabha are so easy together. They know how to make each other laugh, and you can tell how supportive and caring they are for each other.

Where and when did you first meet?

We first met on the online dating app, Bumble, and went on our first date at a dive bar in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn in May 2016.

How did you choose your session location? Did the location have any significance to you?

We originally looked at Lafayette Square Park for a potential wedding ceremony location and fell in love with it. It also came highly recommended by friends in St. Louis (and Jaimie!).

When did you get engaged?

What kind of look were you going for in your photos?

We wanted an outdoor/park setting for a romantic casual feel.

How did you coordinate or decide on the outfits you wore for your session?

We wanted our outfits to reflect our day-to-day style so Arunabha chose a casual, neutral look and Molly picked a fun, flowy skirt with colors that popped.

What are your dreams for the two of you in your marriage? Traveling? Kids? Growing old together? Tell me about them!

First, to be happy. We would love to travel a lot – right now we have potential plans to take an extended trip for a few months in a couple of years and then decide where we might want to settle down. We can’t wait to grow old together and a couple of kids might be in the picture down the road.

Do you have any tips or advice for other couples about to have an engagement session?

Have fun with it! Don’t overthink it and don’t be worried about feeling awkward.

Any tips on how to prepare for an engagement session?

Wear something comfortable. Don’t be hungry during the session and have a cup of coffee!

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?

Having our family and friends together to celebrate our love and new adventure.
