An early morning engagement session at Missouri Botanical Gardens is one of my favorites! If you decide to have an engagement session here, morning is a great choice. Not only for the gorgeous light, but for a more intimate setting and fewer other visitors at the garden.
My favorite thing is when couples can make each other laugh. My instructions are always the same: Ignore me. Talk to each other.
The more a couple can focus on each other, the less awkward and more genuine everything is. Sean was worried about coming across as awkward, but these two were anything but!
Katie and Sean describe themselves as down to earth, outdoorsy fun-loving history nerds. They had their first date at a coffee shop, so they decided to head back to that same spot for their engagement session. While we were there, we stuffed ourselves with breakfast and coffee, and I got to hear all about their first date, which ended abruptly as Sean declared to Katie that he had to go help his parents hang Christmas lights. She was a tad confused, but he texted her later to let her know that he really DID have to go help his parents with Christmas lights, and he had a lovely time with her :)

Love these images!!
