Katie and Kevin are getting married in April 2015. The two are living in different cities right now, so when Kevin was in town for a wedding the weekend of July 4th, we took the opportunity to schedule their engagement session.

We decided on an early morning Lafayette Park and Lafayette Square engagement session. Normally, I do sessions in the evenings, but I must say, I’m now totally a fan of that early morning light! Not to mention the fact that the park and the square were both totally empty- which is great for photo sessions! Lafayette Square is right next to Lafayette Park, which is awesome, because it gives you two totally different looks within walking distance of each other.

We started off in the park to take advantage of the soft morning light. My favorite place in the park is definitely the area by the pond and the bridge.

These two? They are total naturals!

The lady inside the store front was giving us strange looks, but you totally can’t tell from this! Pure awesomeness!

If you can’t tell, Katie is a total Cardinals fan. I love it when my couples bring their love of Cardinals baseball into a session!
