Since most of Erika and Jeff’s wedding party was from out of town, and the ceremony and reception locations were about 45 minutes apart, they decided to release their wedding party and finish their portraits alone. So we headed downtown for some Lafayette Park wedding photos with just the two of them.
And you know what? It made for a very casual, relaxing afternoon. Erika and Jeff appreciated the opportunity to actually spend some time alone together on their wedding day, and their wedding party appreciated the chance to relax all afternoon before the reception that evening.
It’s not often that I get to have the bride and groom AND Lafayette Park all to myself, so I was definitely enjoying it!

After we finished up wedding photos at Lafayette Park, we headed over to their reception at The Highlands Golf Course in Forest Park. We had just enough time to include the full wedding party in a few more photos before the reception started.
