I’ve known Matt for many, many years. I think since high school? (We’re getting kinda old, so that’s actually a pretty long time ago!) And I love the fact that I’m kinda their official photographer. I shot Matt & Lannette’s engagement photos and their wedding back in 2013. Last year we did Dylan’s an in-home lifestyle session for his newborn photos. Fast forward a year, and here we are doing family photos for his first birthday!
Early last Sunday morning we met up at one of my favorite little spots in Forest Park for their family session. Dylan is such a happy little boy, and quite the ladies man. He rocked his first family session!
At first, I thought Dylan was all mama, but after the family session, he’s definitely got a LOT of Matt’s expressions. Mom and Dad are both book worms (for their engagement session, we took photos of them reading outside of a bookstore), and Dylan is becoming one, too. When the pile of books came out, he was quiet and focused.
When it started to heat up (ugh humidity) we headed for some shade. Dylan loved running around in the grass and being chased by mom and dad. Until he face planted, of course.
Matt and Lannette, I love seeing you two as parents! I can’t wait for next year :)
