Susan and Kevin really wanted fun and laid back photos for their engagement session in Alton, Illinois. The couple really enjoy the fun mixture of nature and architecture in downtown Alton. They didn’t have many requests; just pretty lighting and the river in the background of some. I love the evening sun in the fall. It’s warm, glowy, and makes for absolutely amazing photos!
The great thing about shooting in Alton, IL is the proximity of everything. Remarkable old historic buildings are within walking distance of the scenic Alton Marina with its incredible view of the famed Lewis and Clark bridge.
After hitting some of my favorite spots in downtown Alton, we headed up to the incredible little park situated on the edge of the bluff to take a few mind-blowing sunset shots… only to find that the park was totally under construction! We improvised a little though, and snagged some gorgeous images along a residential street :)
I can’t wait for their June wedding!
