Tabby is my sister’s best friend, and I have known her for years. My sister and I have actually known her husband for longer, as we all went to the same tiny school. And believe it or not, I photographed Tabby & Scott’s wedding portraits on film way back in 2004!
For their family session, we decided on Creve Coeur Lake Park. There are always pretty spots there, and the light is pretty awesome, too.
It ended up being a gorgeous evening, which was more than welcome after three weeks of 95-100 degree heat. But that also meant that the park was insanely crowded. (And yes, we did come across the singing man on rollerblades. He always makes me smile!) We had to walk a bit to get to the wooded area of the park (which is my favorite anyway) to escape some of the madness.
Kenzie and Landon are the same age as my sister’s two kids, and they were a joy to photograph! Landon has the perfect mix of little boy goofiness and Kenzie has that little girl sweetness.
Great job on choosing the color palate, Tabby! Blues always look nice mixed with summer outdoor greens.
