Hope and Jon’s first date was at The Daily Bread in Des Peres, so Hope wanted to revisit the spot for their engagement session.

So, on a gloomy day in early November, we met at The Daily Bread for the first part of their engagement session. I got there early, so I ordered a chai latte as I drooled over the pastries. (Later, Jon told me the peach pie is AMAZING, and if they would’ve had any, I would’ve gotten some!)

The last part of their session was at the always beautiful, Missouri Botanical Garden.

I love when couples know how to make each other laugh. I swear, it’s the key to life. There’s no way you’ll make it through the worst if you can’t laugh about it.

The Botanical Garden is pretty any time of the year, and I especially love going there during the summer (Flora Borealis was FANTASTIC, as was the Lantern Festival) and the holiday lights are my favorite, especially with a warm, festive drink in hand.

I think we may have been the only people crazy enough to be in the gardens that day, which meant it was the PERFECT time for shooting.

There isn’t an ugly spot in the entire place, so you can def count the Missouri Botanical Garden as one of my favorite places to shoot.
