Even though I live in the middle of farmland, I’m definitely more of a city girl, particularly when it comes to shooting. So, when Matt and Julia told me they wanted to use the area near the downtown flood wall, I got super excited.

I have an immense love of textures and old buildings. The industrial area where we shot their engagement session is one of my favorite spots downtown. Sadly, it’s not an area that most people tend to want for their photos, so I don’t get to shoot there often.

Matt and Julia wanted to include their bicycles in their engagement session since bicycling is a big part of their lives. We even happened to stumble upon an old cycle factory (see if you can spot it!)

Matt and Julia were like working with models. I thoroughly enjoyed working with them and exploring the area downtown!
