Murphy and Jessi are two of my favorite people. Murphy was one of my husband’s best friends, and we actually lived with him for a while, when he was a single dude. Then Murph met Jess. Jess is awesomely amazing! She’s one of the most vivacious, caring, genuine people you will ever meet.
After years of struggling, Murphy and Jessi were finally pregnant… with twins! It was seriously such a joy and an honor to be able to photograph their maternity session. Jess wanted somewhere gorgeous and green, so I suggested a Lafayette Park maternity session. We got rained out a few times, but we finally made it! Jess was gorgeous, and the two of them were so genuinely happy.
It was pretty warm that evening, but Jess made it through. I’ve noticed that when the humidity is awful, the light is absolutely amazing. That evening was no exception. We got some beautiful light for their session. I will say though, that Lafayette Park is beautiful any time of day, any time of the year. Even in the winter.
The little Gingerbeans (their nickname for the twins) were born just last week.
